Ciara joined KW Therapy Ltd in 2023 as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, following a successful 6-year career working as a Support Worker and Occupational Therapy Assistant at Krinvest Care Group.

She is experienced in providing rehabilitative services to individuals with mental, physical, emotional and developmental impairments.  And in collaboration with an Occupational Therapist has used interest checklists, goal setting, and grading of activities to assess and evaluate the physical and mental ability of her clients.

Working in a one-to-one or group setting she is able to identify the level of support a client requires.  Providing input within a multi-disciplinary team to help design effective rehabilitation programmes and align occupational therapy input with the overall team goals.

Her passion lies in empowering service users to gain confidence, skills, and independence through healthy living, self-care practices, and community engagement. She takes pride in supporting individuals to access real life opportunities and education in the local area, fostering a holistic approach to well-being.

She has worked closely with male clients under the mental health act, including those with acquired brain injuries. This involved managing medication, planning daily activities, and identifying prompts that would encourage her clients to problem solve everyday tasks.  Monitoring and reporting the client’s overall well-being and progress during everyday tasks was a key part of the role.  Enabling the team to identify the activities of daily living that would promote independence and the achievement of goals for each individual.

She brings a wealth of experience and a compassionate approach to her work, consistently striving to make a positive impact on the lives of those she serves.
