Come and cheer on Phoenix Flyerz at Lancaster Krazy Races 2023.
Look at what arrived in the warehouse today. Some may see it as pile of scrap metal, but for others it’s an opportunity to raise awareness of disability hockey.
Over the next few months Phoenix Flyerz are building their very own soapbox racing kart to enter into Lancaster Krazy Races 2023 In preparation for the main event on Sunday 17th September at Williamson Park in Lancaster.
In the run-up to the event Flyerz will be working together on the renovation of the kart. Flyerzs Kids have the all important tasks of deciding on the decoration and spray painting the kart. Meanwhile, Flyerz Adults will be looking after the more menial jobs of safety and ergonomics.
On race day the karts will launch themselves from the highest point at Williamson Park in a knock-out event where only the 10 fastest karts will make it into the final.
