This bespoke accessible housing case study explores how occupational therapy and clinical case management came together to support Tom, a young man in his late 20s living with a brain injury. After struggling to find a suitable property to adapt, Tom’s team—led by his clinical case manager and our specialist occupational therapist—moved toward designing a bespoke new-build home tailored to his complex care and accessibility needs. From property search and interim adaptations to assistive technology and accessible layout planning, this project highlights how OT-led housing solutions can improve independence, function, and quality of life for individuals with acquired brain injuries.
