Emma joined KW Therapy Ltd in November 2016. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, Emma works alongside the Occupational Therapists, providing assistance when needed for therapy sessions, home visits, equipment provision etc. Emma continues to develop her skill base through active participation in in-house training and supervision.

Emma gains a good rapport/relationship with her clients and the families which helps to educate and achieve the desired goals. She attends team meetings and works closely with case managers and solicitors.
Prior to working with KW Therapy, Emma has a background of working within the NHS. Starting her career in 2002 as a medical secretary, in children’s services moving onto Musculoskeletal (MSK) services twelve months later to become a Physiotherapy Assistant. Whilst working here, Emma successfully completed a two-year foundation degree in health and social care and NVQ Level 3 in care.
Emma then continued to develop her role within Rheumatology services post graduation. These developments included in house acupuncture training for prescriptive use for pain relief, wax therapy, splinting, pain management and Electrotherapies (megapulse, interferential and TEN’s).
As part of her role within KW Therapy she utilises her skills to continue to work with clients in their own homes for ADL assessment and equipment provision and hopes that she can continue to use her splinting experience whilst working at KW Therapy.
